20 Rising Stars To Watch In The Robots That Vacuum And Mop Industry

    Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one session without the need to change devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.

    1. Eufy S1 Pro

It’s one of the easiest robots to install that we’ve tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you up and running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you’d like to do for each room.

For instance, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro’s front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb as the Robot Vacuum Mops is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning on the app will show you precisely what the robot has completed, where it’s going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.

    2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock’s top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may miss.

This Roborock model, like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can alter its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.

It’s the most expensive model I’ve tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and has only three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-filling.

The only issue I have discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn’t movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it’s not easy to take the mount off to wash it manually. I’ve found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery’s life. You’ll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.

    3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.

The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry debris, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 has an additional side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like chairs and table legs. It also allows the robot to get under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice addition that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.

Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming at the same time or individually. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40’s intelligent features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it’s done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a great option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

    4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available and comes with numerous extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature as it stops the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven’t yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a great method to keep your home clean for longer.

There’s a plethora of settings available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many features that other robots don’t have – such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we’ve seen on the market, sporting metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list but it’s not too heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
